14/07/2023 I ACTUALIDAD I HOLCIM ARGENTINA PREMIADA A NIVEL NACIONAL EN ECONOMÍA CIRCULAR

Holcim en Argentina ganó el Primer Premio Nacional de "Argentina Economía Circular", en la categoría “Grandes Empresas”, un reconocimiento que destaca el compromiso y el impulso de proyectos innovadores y sostenibles en diferentes sectores, en el ámbito de la Economía Circular.

En una muestra de compromiso con la sostenibilidad y la protección del medio ambiente, se llevó a cabo la primera edición del premio Argentina Economía Circular, organizado por la Fundación Observatorio Pymes, la Fundación Regenerar y el Instituto de Transición Justa.

La ceremonia de premiación se realizó en la Bolsa de Comercio de Buenos Aires. Durante el evento, se reconoció el trabajo de los 40 ganadores seleccionados entre un total de 180 participantes.

En la categoría Grandes empresas, Holcim se midió con: Genneia, Toyota, L’Oreal Argentina, Andreani, Quilmes, Newsan, Banco Galicia, entre otras.

Este galardón destaca el trabajo realizado desde Geocycle, empresa perteneciente al grupo Holcim, líder global en soluciones circulares para la gestión de residuos.

Geocycle Argentina construyó en 2023 la Estación de Procesamiento y Separación de Residuos Sólidos Urbanos más moderna del país, con una inversión de más de 5 millones de dólares y en acuerdo con la Municipalidad de Córdoba. Además, invirtió 7 millones de dólares para inaugurar la Segunda línea de clasificación y separación de residuos en el relleno sanitario Piedra Blanca, primera en su tipo a nivel nacional.

Mediante estos proyectos, sumados a todas las soluciones sostenibles que brinda, Geocycle da solución a una de las problemáticas más importantes que tiene nuestro país: los residuos y su destino en la última etapa de disposición cuando los mismos llegan para ser enterrados.

Holcim Argentina awarded nationally in Circular Economy

Holcim Argentina won the First National Prize for "Argentina Circular Economy" in the "Large Companies" category, a recognition that highlights the commitment and promotion of innovative and sustainable projects in different sectors, in the field of Circular Economy.

In a sign of commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, the first edition of the Argentina Circular Economy award was held and organized by the Pyme Observatory Foundation, the Regenerate Foundation and the Fair Transition Institute.

The award ceremony was held at the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange. During the event, they recognized the work of the 40 winners selected from a total of 180 participants.

In the Large Companies category, Holcim was competing against: Genneia, Toyota, L'Oreal Argentina, Andreani, Quilmes, Newsan, Banco Galicia, among others.

This award highlights the work carried out by Geocycle, a company belonging to the Holcim group, a global leader in circular solutions for waste management.

Geocycle Argentina built in 2023 the most modern Urban Solid Waste Processing and Separation Station in the country, with an investment of more than 5 million dollars and in agreement with the Municipality of Córdoba. In addition, they invested 7 million dollars to inaugurate the second waste classification and separation line at the Piedra Blanca sanitary landfill, the first of its kind nationwide.

Through these projects, added to all the sustainable solutions it provides, Geocycle provides a solution to one of the most important problems that Argentina has: waste and its destination in the last stage of disposal when it arrives to be buried.
